Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt. Melt the butter and mix it into the dry ingredients until crumbly. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan evenly.
Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until it’s lightly golden. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool slightly.
While the crust is baking, peel and slice your apples. Toss them in a bowl with a sprinkle of cinnamon and a bit of sugar for added sweetness.
Once the crust has cooled slightly, layer the sliced apples evenly over the crust. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the apples, ensuring even coverage.
Bake the assembled bars for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the caramel is bubbly.
Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before lifting them out using parchment overhang. Cut into squares and drizzle with extra caramel if desired.
