  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and cinnamon. Set aside.
  • In another bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and maple syrup together until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time and then add the vanilla extract, mixing well after each addition.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
  • Cover the dough and refrigerate it for at least 30 minutes to ensure a chewy texture.
  • Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough and roll them in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
  • Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly golden. Remember, they will continue to cook out of the oven!
